Hello,
My name is Laura Thompson and I have the privilege of teaching a wonderful group of Grade 7 and 8 students at Sir Ernest MacMillan Public School in Toronto, Canada. There are 27 students in our combined class and many of them come from different parts of the world. Six of our students are brand new to Canada this year and are just beginning to learn English. They have put together a short "prezi" for you to introduce themselves. If the link does not work, try cutting and pasting it into your browser. We are really looking forward to interacting and learning with you in the coming months!

Hi there, we are the students of Carmel College Salland. It was fun to watch your introduction, now we know how you live in Canada. We could see that you have spent much time in it. We saw that you wear uniforms, we would like to know how it is to wear them. In Holland we don’t wear uniforms. Do you have hot meals in the breaks? We haven’t hot meals, we eat bread that we take from home in the breaks. The last question: what is your average age?

Hello, we are students from Chavez Prep. We have a few questions for you: What are the languages that your new students speak? What part of Toronto do you guys live in? Where are your new students from? We also have new students that come in every year, that speaks Spanish only. Thank you.
